player in women category. She was born on March 6th, 1989 in Cracow, Poland. She is 172 cm
tall. Her sister, Urszula Radwanska, is also a tennis player, but not as skilled and famous as
Agnieszka. Her career started in 2005-2006 when she won junior championship. She played her
first WTA tournament at the 2006 J&S Cup. She lost in quarterfinals with Elena Dementieva. On
August 2007, she was the first polish tennis player to get title of WTA tour singles by winning
Nordea Nordic Light Open. She had some losses in 2009-2010. But in 2011 she won “2011 Toray
Pan Pacific Open”.
In the first four months of 2012, Agnieszka, won two singles titles and made a record 28-5 by defeating all opponents, but No.1 Victoria Azarenka. Radwanska won her first title of the season
at the Dubai Tennis Championships by winning with Julia Görges in straight sets. After moving to
the quarterfinals in Indian Wells, she reached a new ranking of World No. 4. Her second title
came at the Sony Ericsson Open, where she won Venus Williams in the quarterfinals and
Marion Bartoli in the semifinals, moving to a championship match with Maria Sharapova.
Radwanska won the championship without losing a set in the tournament.
